Fifth positive result in a row for New York City FC which, after the Hudson River Derby, seems to be a reborn team. Many thought that after the defeat against the Red Bulls, Ronny Deila's team would be lost even more. Quite the opposite happened. The team compared and compacted and here is the result. Every player has put the good of the team first and now, New York seems to never want to stop.
New York City FC have collected 13 points in their last five games played. Four wins and a draw that have propelled the Blues in the middle of the standings. Thanks to these excellent results, New York even managed the Red Bulls, the very team that could condemn the Blues to a championship of suffering and anonymous. There is no doubt that, behind these successes, there is the good work done by Ronny Deila and a team that has finally understood and put into practice the ideas of his coach.
The path traced by Deila is the right one to follow. New York City FC is proving to be one of the teams to beat, now the important thing will be to maintain this pace to take New York higher and higher.
