Brad Sims spoke to the official New York City FC site after the first three games of next season's MLS were revealed:
“While our main focus is currently on the playoffs and taking the Cup to New York City, preparations are already underway to make 2022 our best season. The return of the fans this year has been an incredible boost for our team and for the entire Club, and we are ready to build our strong momentum from the 2021 season.

“Last night our fans made it clear that New York City is a city of football. They brought incredible energy to Yankee Stadium for our first-round playoff victory over Atlanta. Our fans have really set the tone and are one of the main reasons we have the best home advantage in MLS at Yankee Stadium. We look forward to taking full advantage of our impressive home record in 2022, starting March 12 against CF Montreal ”.
