Lewandowski after his brace: "MLS is a different world, I enjoy every day in Chicago"

Time passes, but Robert Lewandowski's eye for goal remains intact. Less than twenty days shy of his 38th birthday, the Polish striker found his first breakthrough in his new MLS adventure, following two scoreless games in his US debut. The Chicago Fire striker broke through at the crucial moment, leading a comeback against FC Charlotte and giving the Illinois team their first Regular Season win of the season in front of their home fans.

Lewandowski's Comments

After the match, Lewandowski shared his initial feelings after arriving in MLS: "MLS is new to me. I needed some time to adapt, but I think every week, which is like preseason training for me, I'll get better and better. Today in the game I felt very good physically. I knew I'd need a little more time to get physically ready, and I'm very happy." The striker then added: "It's a different world for me, not only because I'm in the United States, but also because I'm outside of Europe. But I have to say I'm very happy for my teammates, who are very open-minded. We manage to play well together, and I enjoy every day in Chicago."
