One of the pleasant notes of the Hudson River Derby is represented by Kevin O'Toole. The New York City FC winger has once again taken the opportunity given to him by Nick Cushing. Already against the Atlas, O'Toole had done well. The New Jersey native repeated another strong performance in the all-important game against the Red Bulls.

His contribution to the derby was crucial. O'Toole played a role not him but was instrumental. New York City FC's goals against Atlas and Red Bulls came from two corners won by O'Toole himself.

O'Toole made a big impact on the Blues. Working silently he earned his place in the team and amazed everyone with his flexibility, strength, and passion. O'Toole was called into action by Cushing in arguably the toughest games of the season. The player has responded well, now a next step is expected.
