The LA Galaxy (7-2-1, 22 points) have two games on tap for this week, facing Columbus Crew SC at 4:30 p.m. PT on Wednesday, May 8 at MAPFRE Stadium (Spectrum SportsNet). On Saturday, the Galaxy will return to Dignity Health Sports Park to take on NYCFC at 1 p.m. PT (ESPN).

Against Columbus, the Galaxy are 16-17-10 all-time, going 4-10-6 against Crew SC in road contests. In their last visit, LA lost 2-0 to Columbus with an early red card to Ashley Cole. The Galaxy defeated Crew SC in their visit to Dignity Health Sports Park in 2018, a 4-0 rout that saw goals from Ola Kamara, Zlatan Ibrahimović and a brace from Romain Alessandrini.

This weekend, LA will play host to NYCFC for the third time since the team joined the league in 2015. LA has to NYC in each of the last three matches, most recently a 2-1 defeat at Yankee Stadium in the second game of 2018. Jonathan dos Santos scored in that match.

LA Galaxy enter the week second in MLS Western Conference standings. They are one of three MLS teams to average at least two points per game.
