Inter Miami FC, Phil Neville: "Against NYCFC is a tough stretch away from home"

As Inter Miami CF carries on with MLS action in the second half of the 2022 regular season, head coach Phil Neville met with media members after Thursday’s training session to preview the weekend’s match against New York City FC at the iconic Yankee Stadium. Inter Miami’s match against New York City FC on Saturday, July 23 kicks off at 7 p.m. ET, and marks the club’s first ever visit to this historic stadium. 

Neville spoke about the upcoming match, stating his excitement for the occasion and his expectations for the squad.

“We’re going to an iconic stadium, so that’s exciting for us. The players are really excited to go there and perform against the best team in both conferences last year. [NYCFC] has good players, technical players… This is a tough stretch away from home but it’s one we have to attack, one we have to go there and really get the results we need. We’re looking forward to it. The players are excited, and they’re in really good form and spirits.”
