It was not a good start in MLS for New York City FCRonny Deila's debut isn't happy, with New York City FC losing the game against Columbus Crew. A game made complicated by the expulsion of Maxime Chanot after only three minutes from the start of the match. The red that was shown to him so early forced New York City FC to review all plans of the game. Despite the extreme difficulty the team has faced, New York City FC has fought well against its opponents. The Blues responded blow by blow, until then, almost inevitably, to capitulate. A game therefore, difficult to judge, given that New York had to practically play the entire game with ten players. The positive aspect is that, in difficulty, the team did not give up, on the contrary, it also tried to create some problems at the Crew, without however suffering excessively. Sean Johnson has saved the team on a couple of occasions, but New York has kept the field well and this bodes well for the future, despite the MLS having started in the wrong way.

There is a lot of work for Ronny Deila to do, but for sure, this team does not lack character. New York City FC has to start from this certainty, and build the next games in the right way, hoping that New York will not have to find itself in difficulty again as against Crew, otherwise it will get tough. But the beginning is not all to be thrown away. The team reacted well, but it wasn't enough.
