Concacaf has suspended the Champions League, effective immediately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Given the developments last night, including new guidance issued by countries, cities and states, we have made the decision to suspend the Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League with immediate effect,” Concacaf said in a statement released Thursday.

The confederation added it is “continuing to discuss arrangements” regarding other Concacaf competitions. Further announcements will follow. The Concacaf men’s Olympic qualifiers are scheduled to start March 20 in Guadalajara, Mexico.
