Positive season: but there's need to win

The season of New York City FC ended at the Mercedes Benz Stadium with the elimination after 3-1 suffered by Atlanta. A season however, in some ways, positive that played by the City. A season that saw two coaches on the New York bench, before Patrick Vieira and then Dome Torrent. The current manager of Nice managed to give the momentum to the season, while Torrent managed to bring it forward and finish it in the semi-finals.

A season that has seen several positive aspects. On all, as usual, the great personality of players like David Villa and Maxi Moralez, the real drivers of this team. Further confirmations came from the various Johnson, Ring, Tinnerholm, Chanot and there were no surprises such as Tajouri-Shradi and Jesus Medina.

The balance is quite positive, although clearly the bitter taste remains in the mouth for how the City ended the season. A championship where Yankee Stadium proved to be a fortress for New York. But, it is precisely at Yankee Stadium that the Blues have lost at least half of the hopes of going to the final losing to Atlanta.

Season controversial, but made of passion, competitive ardor, desire to stand out and win with the support of the fans both at home and away has never failed. We do not know which players will remain and which will go away, but certainly the next one will be a season of passion. But the next year the principal things of New York City FC will be to win the MLS, for the club and for the supporters.
