We must be honest. Without Heber, one of the fittest players of the last period, there was a lot of concern. Confidence in Taty Castellanos was total, but the Brazilian had shown, in recent games, to be the key player for New York City FC. That against the New England Revolution was a decisive match for the City, a game that was worth the first place in the standings. Despite the difficulties New York City FC has clinched the goal: victory and first place in the standings.

A victory that came in particular thanks to Jesus Medina. Medina entered the second half, 30 minutes to make his mark. First the equalizer goal, then the decisive one n the sixth minute of second-half stoppage time on a penalty kick. Maxi Moralez let Medina kick the penalty, an opportunity that Medina exploited to the full and also showing great personality to mark the winning goal.

A victory that allows New York City FC to clinched the first place in the standings. A result that projects the Blues towards the conquest of the conference but with still several games to play, decisive challenges for New York that seems to be in its best year.
