Chaos in Iran: footballer sentenced to death

The climate of terror and tension persists in Iran. In fact, the execution of one of the young protesters sentenced for taking part in protests against the regime of the ayatollahs was scheduled for today. The execution did not take place today, but instead another decidedly disturbing news was leaked: the death sentence was in fact decided for the former footballer Amir Nasr-Azadani, 26 years old, and for the actor of the same age theater Hossein Mohammadi. Both were detained after taking part in demonstrations following the death of Mahsa Amini, who was killed for not wearing the hijab properly. For the judges of the Islamic Republic Amir and Hossein are two traitors, therefore the death penalty has been established for both. The mobilization by various activists on social media was immediate, starting with the French actress Juliette Binoche.
