New York City FC has officially announced the signing of forward Sebastiano Musu to a Short-Term Agreementfrom its MLS NEXT Pro affiliate, New York City FC II. This marks Musu’s third short-term contract with the senior squad this season.

The young Italian attacker made his First Team debut during Matchday 26 of the MLS Regular Season, coming on as a second-half substitute in the match against Sporting Kansas City. Just one matchday prior, he was also listed on the squad against Orlando City SC. Musu now becomes the fourth NYCFC II player to earn a Short-Term Agreement and appear in an official MLS match.

Musu, who joined NYCFC II at the start of the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro season, has made 12 appearances, registering three goals and one assist for the Pigeons’ reserve side. His consistent performances have earned him repeated call-ups as the club continues to invest in young talent from its developmental pipeline.

In accordance with MLS roster regulations, clubs are permitted to sign players aged 25 or younger from their MLS NEXT Pro affiliate to a maximum of four Short-Term Agreements per season. A player can be named to four matchday rosters, but is limited to two appearances in MLS league matches. However, there is no cap on appearancesin non-league competitions under the same agreements.

Musu has traveled with the first team to Dallas and is available for selection for tonight’s fixture, as NYCFC looks to build on its current form.
