NYCFC, James Sands' thoughts on the new 'Bronx Blue' jersey

On the sidelines of the presentation of the 2021 'Bronx Blue' primary kit, James Sands commented:

“I really like the new jersey. It reminds me of the shirt from the inaugural season. At that point, I was still just a fan, so it definitely brings back some good memories. It's always special for me to wear the jersey because I've seen my role in the team change so much over the past two years. From signing my first contract, to getting a few minutes here and there, to becoming an appetizer and hopefully moving forward from there. I hope to inspire the next generation to do the same.

“I am particularly proud to wear this new jersey this year because it represents New York City as a whole. The city has been through so many things and we wouldn't be here without our frontline and essential workers. When we wear the jersey, we are proud to represent our fans, our City and our local heroes. "
