New York City FC amazed everyone. After a long period of disappointing performances and negative results, the team has had a great deal of enlightenment. The Blues seem to be resurrected and have won the Campeones Cup and then the Hudson River Derby. Two successes, we can say, were unexpected given the previous negative results of the team.

It was not easy for New York City FC to make up for the departures of Ronny Deila and Taty Castellanos. The team immediately received a psychological backlash. The performances were not the most excellent and the City could no longer win.

Then one wonders: what has changed in the last ten days?

Much of New York City FC's success depends on the work of Nick Cushing. The interim coach of the Blues struggled a lot in the beginning, but now he seems to have found the right path. Cushing was able to bring out the best in his players who performed like true champions. It took time, but now Cushing seems to have the team in hand and the players follow him in everything.

Nick Cushing is New York City FC's present, but what about the future? Cushing is temporarily the New York manager. After Ronny Deila's departure, the club preferred to entrust the leadership of the team to Cushing until the end of the season. But now that the results are coming, that the team is also showing good football, Cushing's position could change. In fact, as a temporary player, Cushing could be the manager of New York City FC also in the coming seasons.
