Maxi Moralez shines

Maxi Moralez does not grab the headlines like many of the other great players in MLS. But he is as effective as any. This performance was proof as much.

He scored the final goal of the game, ending a beautiful move that sliced through the Cincinnati defence in a cutting passing attack sliding into the penalty area, ending in Moralez curling a low shot into the far corner. This was the cherry on the cake of what was a superb showing from the midfielder.

The creativity of his passing was superb, recording three assists, one of which was a superb clipped pass into Heber for his second of the game. He was heavily involved in everything that New York City FC did. This season, they will go as far as Moralez and his attacking ingenuity is able to take them.
