New York City FC prepares for its US Open Cup debut against FC Cincinnati. The Blues will play away again and Santiago Rodríguez hopes the team can buck the tide of this start to the season in which NYCFC are yet to win away from home.

"It's a different competition and, above all, it's another tournament that we must approach with the same seriousness and commitment it deserves," said Rodríguez.

“We have to win every game, no matter if it's the US Open Cup or the championship. We have to get in the right frame of mind and win to build confidence in the group and start winning because we are losing so many points away from home. Maybe we can take this change of pace and use it to start winning again."
