MLS stops, USMNT out of the World Cup, football seems to have stopped in America and specifically in New York. We assure you that this is not the case, however. NYCFC never stops. It's true, the players are on vacation, but the club is hard at work making important decisions for the team's future.

New York City FC's goal is to get back to winning ways. To succeed in this, the club is working to strengthen the team. Some market rumors are already circulating, but NYCFC is working under the radar, with the lights off to identify who might be the right reinforcements for the team.

Clearly a replacement for Tinnerholm needs to be found. Perhaps an experienced player could arrive, but it is not excluded that NYCFC decides to focus on young players. Furthermore, there is also to be clarified what the future of Alex Callens will be. The hope is that he will be able to stay permanently in New York, but nothing is certain yet. The same goes for Sean Johnson, the next few days will be decisive.

There will also be a need for at least one new striker, probably a number 9. Heber and Talles Magno have different characteristics, but there are many matches and a new top-level striker is needed.

New York's idea is to continue to have a roster that is a good mix of young players and more experienced ones. In a balanced way, but with a precise goal: to win again.
