New York City FC: the issue is mental, we just have to pray

New York City FC against Charlotte FC was domination but very sterile. The Blues went immediately at a disadvantage but analyzing the game they never again went into great difficulty. Ball possession was clearly in favor of Cushing's team (52.4%) but failed to translate it into something important and concrete.

Even playing most of the second half with a man more ahead didn't help New York to accelerate and try to break through battleship Charlotte. Against Charlotte, apart from the goal conceded in the first few minutes, everything seemed to be in NYCFC's favor. Technically better team, the advantage of an extra man, yet the Blues have never really managed to sting, to hurt their opponents.

The feeling is that NYCFC's problem is more mental than physical. It's true, that the team has trained little in recent weeks due to the many away games, but this team has no confidence in itself. A win could unlock New York City FC and hopefully, this can happen in the Campeones Cup final against Atlas.
