Has anyone heard of New York City FC? The current offeseason is likely to go down in history for the worst ever for the Blues. No hits scored, but only sales, and excellent sales. The club sold Alexander Ring to Austin and Ronald Matarrita to Cincinnati. They allowed Gary MacKay-Steven to join Hearts.

On the other hand, New York has been collecting rejections on repeat. Undoubtedly, Franco Cervi stands out, a player approached with determination in New York but who in the end refused to accept the Blues.

The Blues offseason at the moment only served to accumulate money. But will New York spend them? The fans are waiting, and in the meantime they see their team weakened and getting one refusal after another.

The Blues no longer have the appeal they could have long ago. Without major players, with the big players and without a real football stadium, the City no longer attracts as before.
