Ronny Deila commented on NYCFC's participation in the next Leagues Cup. These are the words of the coach of the Blues reported on the official website of the club: “The Leagues Cup is another trophy for our kids to compete for in 2021 and we are thrilled to represent the MLS in this international tournament. We experienced what Liga MX had to offer last season during the Concacaf Champions League and it showed the level we are up against. The competition in Mexico is fantastic and the teams play at a very high level. We know we will face a difficult opponent, but we can't wait to face the challenge in this year's League Cup".
