Red Bulls 0-1 NYCFC, Chusing: "We Want To Play Good Football"

New York City Football Club Interim Head Coach Nick Cushing has praised the quality of his team’s performance following their Hudson River Derby win against Red Bulls.

“We have a mentality that we want to play, we want to dominate the ball, we want to keep possession, and we want to entertain the crowd with attacking football,” he said. “We had to make some slight tactical adjustments before the game and then at half time, but we asked the players to go and be themselves, to enjoy the game. We asked them to get the ball on the grass and enjoy passing it and enjoy playing it.”
