MLS Power Rankings: NYCFC is not among the favourites

The new MLS season will officially begin next weekend. New York City FC, however, does not start with the underdogs. According to the MLS Power Rankings, New York ranks 13th.

There's not much optimism surrounding what the next season of NYCFC will be like. The team weakened strongly with the departures of Sean Johnson, Alex Callens and Maxi Moralez. However, there is faith in the club's scouting work which always manages to find important and valid players. However, some gaps left by the team's leading players remain.
