The US decision to remove the Islamic Republic's "Allah" emblem and "takbirs" from Iran's tricolor flag has infuriated Tehran.
The media affiliated to the Iranian state have in fact asked for the exclusion of the USA from the World Cup.
The USMNT posted an image of the group on social media that showed only the Iranian flag with its green, white and red colors but without any symbol of the Islamic Republic.

This gesture, according to the Iranian media, would go against the guidelines set by FIFA.
The media Tasnim News Agency, very close to the Iranian state, wrote "According to section 13 of the #FIFA rules, any person who offends the dignity or integrity of a country, a person or a group of people ... will be sanctioned with a suspension lasting at least ten matches or a specified period, or any other appropriate disciplinary measure".
We remind you that Iran will face the United States in the last match of Group B with a match for the round of 16 up for grabs.
