CharlotteFC 1-0 NYCFC, Cushing: “We have to continue to grind to get out of this"

Nick Cushing says he has full belief his squad have what it takes to storm back to winning ways. 

Cushing admits he and the team are disappointed with their recent results but asserts they are confident the tide will turn.

“We know that we’re really hungry and we know that we can turn this around,” he said.

“We have to continue to grind to get out of this. We have to stick together and make sure we fight our way out of this moment.

“Today was positive in moments but we lacked the standard that we desire in the final third – the one that we showed in the Cincinnati game to create clear chances.

“The goal is disappointing. The pitch was the same for both teams, and the weather was wet but it actually was better for the turf for the weather to be wet".
