NYCFC in talks to sign Fortuna Dusseldorf midfielder Alfredo Morales

As reported by Bild, Alfredo Morales is ready for the move to New York City FC. It was Fortuna Dusseldorf itself, where Morales plays, to confirm that the player is in talks with a club in the MLS for his transfer.

Morales has made 15 appearances for Dusseldorf this season in the 2nd Bundesliga, with 11 appearances, and has played his entire career in Germany. He last played for the United States men's national team in November 2019 in Nations League matches against Cuba and Canada. The midfielder has made 16 appearances for the United States since 2013.

Morales was born in Germany but is eligible to play for the United States through his father, who is a naturalized citizen of Peruvian descent who served in the United States Army.
