It's revolution in New York City FC. After many rumors, words and denials, at the end Patrick Vieira signed for Nice. The french coach himself a few days ago denied his move to Europe, but you know, football always reserves some surprises. The news has arrived, Vieira leaves the City to try the big jump in Europe. A choice that divided the fans, among those who supported or not the choice of Vieira to leave New York but that in the end is this.
Fans divided also on the benefits that will bring the choice of Vieira. There are those who believe it is the right choice for the NYCFC as well as for the coach himself, and there are those who believe that losing Vieira the team will lose important aspects and characteristics. Time will give the answers at the right time.

In the meantime, here is Domènec Torrent, the new Blues coach. A name that for many does not mean anything, yet Torrent has won everything as second of Guardiola. At Barcelona he won 14 trophies: three La Liga titles, two UEFA Champions League trophies, two UEFA Super Cups, two Spanish Cups, three Spanish Super Cups, and two Club World Cups. At Barcelona, Torrent worked with NYCFC captain, David Villa, winning two La Liga titles, the UEFA Champions League, the Copa del Rey, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.

Domènec and Guardiola then went on to Germany to coach Bayern Munich where they lifted the Bundesliga title in each of the three seasons they competed for it. They won a total of seven trophies at Bayern Munich – three German Championships, two DFB Cups, a UEFA Super Cup, and a Club World Cup.

Domenec joined Guardiola at Manchester City where they broke the Premier League record for most points (100), most away points (50), most points ahead of second (19), most wins (32), most away wins (16), most goals (106), best goal difference (+79) and most consecutive victories (18) in their second season in charge (2017/18).

The numbers are on the side of Torrent who will now have to prove all his qualities without his mentor Guardiola. Certainly the new coach of the City is not a naive, he said he has followed the New York games directly from Manchester. Torrent is ready and the City also for this new chapter in the history of New York.
