Starting last summer with D.C. United’s signings, we noticed that a lot of countries could have players with Black-and-Red club ties represented with national team call-ups. That number increased to five in the offseason, and adding Vytas recently boosted the number of players in their respective international pools to six. So rather than writing about each one as they came up, we’re going to try and drop them all onto one list for ease of comfort and tracking as we find them out, and include basic information on the games, such as who against, where, etc. These are guys who will miss D.C.’s game with New York City FC on Saturday and possibly Wednesday’s game with Minnesota United.

So without further adieu:

Junior Moreno (Venezuela): Part of the 24-man roster for friendlies against ColombiaSeptember 7 in Miami and at Panama September 11 in Panama City.

Zoltan Stieber (Hungary): Among a 30-man roster for UEFA Nations League games at Finland on September 8 and home against Greece on September 11, with camp to begin Sunday.

Paul Arriola (United States): In the 24-man roster for friendlies against Brazil on September 7 and Mexico on September 11.

Darren Mattocks (Jamaica): In the 23-man roster for a friendly with Ecuador at Red Bull Arena on September 7 and hosting the Cayman Islands in a CONCACAF Nations League game on September 9.
