Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the last football (sorry) soccer champion that joined the MLS. In three matches with Los Angeles Galaxy, he scored three goals. But what will remain in football (oh sorry again) soccer history will be his epic debut in L.A.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s theatre of absurd comes to MLS on thrilling debut, titled The Guardian.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic scores two stunning goals in MLS debut with LA Galaxy, underlined ESPN.

Is a fact, Ibra arrived in the USA still as a player and not as a (nearly) retired one. This is no longer a news: the most important examples of these change of consideration for the MLS are David Villa and Sebastian Giovinco. Both joined the Major League Soccer when they were still full-fledged players.

David Villa moved to New York when he was 32 leaving Atlético Madrid for, as he said, an irresistible project.
The Italian striker signed with Canadian team Toronto FC when he was 28. They are both playing very well in the MLS and they want to stay in North America.

Do you remember the past, when David Beckham (AC Milan) and Thierry Henry (Arsenal) were playing for European teams at the end of the season in MLS? This has completely changed: players now take advantage of the break to prepare for the upcoming season in the best possible way.

Ibra, however, took American football to another level. Zlatan, in fact, late Tuesday night was Jimmy Kimmel's guest on his TV show. And he was the absolute protagonist: an extraordinary event for this sport in the U.S.

In short, Ibra's lesson is clear: soccer is becoming increasingly important, so much that is even followed by European fans.
A good thing for all franchises that will contract stronger and stronger players in the future.
