New York unbeatable and safer

It was a perfect week for New York City FC. Three wins without conceding goals against three eastern conference teams. New York has full booty over the past seven days against Red Bulls, Montreal Impact and Columbus Crew. Three wins all arrived at Yankee Stadium where the Torrent team is still unbeaten in this championship.

Nine points won in three games from New York that project the City in second place in the standings behind Atlanta United FC but with a game less than the team first in the standings. It also increases the gap from the Red Bulls, third in the standings five points behind the City but with two less games to play. Numbers that show how NYCFC has found a great state of form after some ups and downs in the Vieira period. With Torrent on the bench the music seems to have changed. The team seems to believe more in itself and in their abilities, it is no coincidence that most of the goals and the consequent victories have come from the bench.

New York seems to have found the right path and this series of wins may have given the right boost to the team to reach Atlanta at the top of the standings. The championship is still long but New York has given a strong signal to everyone: the City is the team to beat.
