The first leg of Saturday's England Football League Championship Playoff Semifinal tie between Leeds United and Derby County featured an intriguing subplot between two former New York City FC standouts.

Give Round 1 to Jack Harrison.

Manning the left flank for Leeds, Harrison contributed this gorgeous assist on Kemar Roofe's 55th-minute winner in the first leg of their semifinal at at Derby's Pride Park Stadium, where Frank Lampard is the first-year manager.

Harrison and Lampard became good friends during their time as NYCFC teammates, particularly while each were rehabbing from their respective injuries at the beginning of the 2016 season.

The goal gives Leeds the advantage heading into Wednesday's return leg at their home, Elland Road. The winner of the tie will play a one-off match against the winner of the other semifinal at Wembley Stadium on Memorial Day (Or a Bank Monday in England), with a place in the 2019-2020 Premier League on the line.
