Dome Torrent doesn’t need to watch the “We are LAFC” documentary to know Bob Bradley is a Barcelona fan.

The NYCFC coach said it is evident in Bradley’s tactics, which he admires greatly. Torrent should know, having coached at Barcelona with Pep Guardiola.

“I like especially when they have the ball because they have a clear idea to play soccer,” Torrent said after training Wednesday. “Maybe it’s one of the best teams if you talk about the positional game. They play positional, they play two or three special players. [Eduard] Atuesta is one of them because he plays similar to Sergio Busquets in Barcelona. He’s a clever man. They play really well. I’m impressed, not because they were able to win the games because it’s really important, but they play really well for me.”

Torrent said he’s watched a lot of MLS games and LAFC, which come to Yankee Stadium Sunday afternoon, has impressed him the most. The Black-and-Gold are one of three teams to take maximum points from the first two games after defeating Sporting Kansas City and the Portland Timbers.

“I watch many games in MLS and I like especially the way they play,” Torrent said. “Because I know this way. 4-3-3, two attacking midfielders in their position, the wingers wide, sometimes when the ball is on your side, go inside and overlap. They respect the position.”

This will be Torrent’s first chance to match tactics with Bradley. Patrick Vieira was in charge when NYCFC played LAFC to a 2-2 draw at Banc of California Stadium last May in the first meeting between the teams.

While LAFC has gotten off to a flying start, NYCFC has a pair of draws from their first two league games — 2-2 at Orlando City SC and 0-0 vs. D.C. United at home on Sunday.

Torrent said he’s still “looking to find the right solution” among his attacking unit. It appears Bradley already has on a team considered by many to be an early MLS Cup contender.

“I’m impressed with the performance, especially the last two MLS games because they play really well. I like the way they play,” Torrent said. “For me, it will be a tough game because they are in top form right now.”
