Winning for the standings and the fans

That against Chicago Fire will be a crucial match for New York City FC. The team of Torrent must find continuity of victories, after having won the first three points of the season against DC United, a team that leads the standings. It was great the test of the Blues that now must win the three points also against Chicago Fire. New York will have the advantage of playing in front of its fans at Yankee Stadium, which as always will support the team.

The opportunity, however, is huge for New York City FC. Even winning against Chicago, the City would be able to make the overtaking of the Fire itself. Another victory would project New York City FC into the middle of the playoff zone, without forgetting that on Saturday, the City would have the opportunity to extend further in the standings by winning against Orlando City. 

But there's no need to run, New York City FC has to think one game at a time. The next opponent is the Chicago Fire, a tough team to beat for the standings but also to give fans a joy.
