New York City continues to negotiate the purchase of Alexandru Mitrita. The striker of the Universitatea Craiova really like the leadership of the Blues who have sent a first bid of $6 million. A bid that has been rejected by the Romanian club. Mitrita, who can play both as a wing and a central striker, has scored 12 goals in her 16 appearances this season. The 23-year-old player is definitely living his best career moment after the ups and downs experienced in Italy.

For this reason, the Universitatea Craiova rejected the first bid of New York. At the moment the request is $8.5 million and New York City FC clearly has to make its assessments. Is it worth spending so much for a player who is only seeing something important this season? Would it be better to spend a similar amount for an already established attacker? We do not know what assessments will be New York, but in the meantime the deal goes ahead.
