New York City FC, the certainties the basis from which to start again

 The season starts on February 20 with the Concacaf Champions League, but the team is still under construction. The coach, the main piece of the new NYCFC, is missing. In addition to the coach, there are no players who need to reinforce the team for the next busy season. In short, work in progress for New York City FC which is approaching the next season with, however, certainties. Over the past two seasons, New York City FC has made significant improvements. The past season has been that of consecration. New York City FC has proven to be a great team. The final victory has not come, but the Champions League goal has been achieved. The line that the club wants to follow is that of continuity. New York City FC must improve from last season, perhaps, by winning the MLS. But the Concacf Champions League is also a goal. Difficult, being objective, that NYCFC can go all the way to the competition, but the Blues have nothing to lose. So, New York must have the right approach to competition. Do not leave to win it, but not even defeated. New York City FC will have to play free of thoughts, trying to get as far as possible in the Champions League.

Instead, what concerns MLS is very different. New York City FC has proven to be a great team, one of the best in the MLS. The next season the City will absolutely have to confirm and improve. We still don't know who the new coach will be and who the new players will come to reinforce the team. But New York starts from an important base, from players who know the club's environment and ambitions. New York must therefore start from its certainties, hoping that the club knows how to move well on the market because, without a doubt, the team needs to be improved in order to achieve its seasonal goals.
