Jonathan Lewis has earned his first-ever senior U.S. Men’s National Team callup.

Joining his NYCFC teammate Sean Johnson in Head Coach Gregg Berhalter’s first squad, the pair will travel to Chula Vista’s Olympic Training Center for a two-week training camp ahead of friendlies vs. Panama and Costa Rica.

Lewis has previously represented his country at U-20 level, winning the CONCACAF U-20 Championships in 2017.

The 21-year old featured on 14 occasions for NYCFC in the 2018 season, scoring one goal and he played five times for Louisville City in a late-season loan spell.

This is Berhalter’s first USMNT squad after the former Columbus Crew Head Coach took up the reins at the start of December.

Everyone at NYCFC would like to wish both Jonathan and Sean the best of luck in their latest opportunities on the international stage.

We’ll keep you posted on their progress across NYCFC channels during the training camp and friendlies.
