Alexandru Mitrita: "NYCFC is a very high point of my career"

First interview of Alexandru Mitrita as new player of New York City FC: "This is a great joy for me. I have reached a very high point, I don't want to disappoint anyone. I want to make everyone who believed and believes in me proud that this transfer was achieved. I am a technical player, a fast player and I love the ball. I've watched a lot of the MLS, and I've followed it since Giovinc's arrival, as he is my favorite player. I know that it's a very good group at NYCFC, where young players can develop and grow. I also know that they have a very good group with a Spanish who coached other big teams. The MLS is a very strong league, otherwise I would not have come to this league. For me it is a big step where I can demonstrate all of my talent and show them what can I do on the field. I have never been to New York or America, I wish to go very much. However I did not come for the city, I am here for the club and for football. But when I arrive, I will have a lot to visit".

About the national team: "We have a beautiful team, with very talented players. I think we will make a great run in the Nations League and we will qualify further. Right now we have very talented players in Romania.

What about next season? "I don't want to speak about how I see it, I want to take everything step by step, to give everything in every match, and after it I will see what I have done and what I have to do".
